I’ve tried both Docker and VBox. QM installs on VBox on Sequoia but then fails to run

Hi @Thomas_Wilson!

Unfortunately there is not yet support for ARM chips from Apple for Quantum Mobile, it’s been on the/my TODO list for a while now… I’ll try to find some time in the coming weeks to build a barebone version with Quantum ESPRESSO and get back to you.

The issue is the CPU architecture, not Sequoia: the existing Quantum Mobile image targets x86\_64, while an M2 is ARM. VirtualBox on Apple Silicon can’t run that image as a native guest, and Docker’s x86 emulation may not be reliable. For now, use an x86\_64 Linux machine or set up AiiDA and Quantum ESPRESSO directly on the Mac.
